Want to learn how to square dance? Well come on down to the main stage to learn the Irish Folk Flavor- Ceili (kay-lee)! Let’s see how many tavern songs from video games we can dance to, and if you can recognize what game the song came from! Join us for some low impact movement to start your morning. If you can walk, you can Ceili dance. We’ll be teaching some basic steps and walking through traditional dances before putting what we’ve learned to music. No experience necessary- we’ll teach you how to move No partner necessary- we’ll switch up partners throughout the lesson No memorization necessary- there will be a caller to guide you through the movements You might have seen some examples of Ceili dancing in the “Third Class Dance” from Titanic or the “Meryton Assembly Dance” from Pride and Prejudice.

The Undercroft Canteen once again hosts the annual MAGStock Chili Cook-off! All participants must present their chili to the panel of judges at this time to be considered for the title of Chili Cook-Off Champion! This Battle of the Bubbling Brews will result in two Champions, one for the Carnivorous category, and one for the Vegetarian category.

Tableware for the judges will be provided by event staff.
Game begins 1:00pm at the Pondside Field! Bring your own situpon, snacks, and cheering things!
Signups open at the Range until 12:15 on Friday. Practice is 12:40-1:00 at the Pondside Field.
You'll want teams of 3-4 people: two to hold the slingshot and one to draw and shoot (you can rotate positions!). See how much you can knock down to get the highest score. Feel free to bring your own to practice, but must use the ones provided during the contest.

Ultimate Frisbee Pick-Up Game Come join us at the Barnside field for a game of Ultimate! We’ll split up into two teams and throw a disk around. Come prepared to exercise and make some new friends!
Ultimate is a non-contact sport where teammates throw a frisbee to each other until a person catches it in an endzone. Meanwhile, the other team is trying to prevent pass completions by limiting field position and knocking the disk out of the air.
No experience necessary. We’ll explain the rules of the game and teach you how to throw a disk if you have never played.

Blood on the Clocktower is a game of murder and mystery, lies and logic, deduction and deception for 5-20 courageous players and one devious storyteller. A social game played in person, seated in a circle, each player receives either a ‘good’ or ‘evil’ token with their unique character on it. Good players share information to solve the mystery whilst evil players lie about who they are and what they know. The good team wins if they can piece together their knowledge, trust each other, and execute the demon. The evil team wins if the demon can sow distrust, evade detection, and wipe out the village.

Come dance the night (afternoon) away with DJ Playlist, and compete in fun mini games to support your favorite counselor's bid to become Gemstone Royalty! Are you a Jock? A Band Kid? What about a Tree Hugger? Whatever clique you choose, there will be plenty of activities, and plenty of drama. Come dressed to impress, or just as you are. And, at the end of the night (afternoon) we'll crown this summer's Gemstone Royalty!
(This LARP event is closely tied to the ARG (Camp Gemstone Pond: Make Memories That Will End a Lifetime), but it is not necessary to attend in order to participate in the ARG, and vice versa. Johann Sebastian Joust is a no-graphics, digitally-enabled playground game designed for motion controllers.
The goal is to be the last player remaining. When the music — J.S. Bach's Brandenburg Concertos — plays in slow-motion, the controllers are very sensitive to movement. When the music speeds up, the threshold becomes less strict, giving the players a small window to dash at their opponents. If your controller is ever moved beyond the allowable threshold, you're out! Try to jostle your opponents' controllers while protecting your own.
From sunset to quiet hours near the communal fire pit, this is the opportunity for fellow creatures of the night to embrace the darkness! This is a 4-hour plunge into the mysterious depths of post-punk, darkwave, and EBM as night falls upon the sky! I plan on hosting every night so nobody misses out on their chance to explore the darkness! Dark and spooky outfits are encouraged but never required!
