Want to learn how to square dance? Well come on down to the main stage to learn the Irish Folk Flavor- Ceili (kay-lee)! Let’s see how many tavern songs from video games we can dance to, and if you can recognize what game the song came from! Join us for some low impact movement to start your morning. If you can walk, you can Ceili dance. We’ll be teaching some basic steps and walking through traditional dances before putting what we’ve learned to music. No experience necessary- we’ll teach you how to move No partner necessary- we’ll switch up partners throughout the lesson No memorization necessary- there will be a caller to guide you through the movements You might have seen some examples of Ceili dancing in the “Third Class Dance” from Titanic or the “Meryton Assembly Dance” from Pride and Prejudice.
